5:57 am	Update!! YaY!! Hey Every one!!! Long time no post! Heres a little update... I've been living in Winnipeg Manitoba since september 06. I moved here for one reason, Tracy Dahl. Im her first male student and Its been a blast! Made so many new friendships such as FUFU my Saudi Prince, Greatest man alive, an many others. But any who... I'll be going to Blomington Indiana this weekend to work with Carol Vaness and then Ill be heading home to start rehearsals for Tosca with Vancouver Opera.... sooo yaaa ill post more later lol ciao DMONEY (Comment on this)

12:13 am	Again! Long time no write Its been along time! But Iv decided to start writing again and hopfully I'll have time to write in here more often. It all started on July 10th. My family and myself drove 9 hours to the small tourist trap known as Banff. Why were we going to Banff, you ask? Well months earlyer I had auditioned for "Banff Summer Opera Festival" a four week intensive summer program. A month after the audition we got the call. I had been invited to sing in "Filumena" an awesome new Canadian Opera by John Estacio. I was so excited! At seveenten I was the youngest person, in the programs 60 year history, to ever be there. My family and I arrived on the 10th, the day before the program started, Just to look around town and get settled in. Thank God the left the next day lol. The first week was well.... awkward. Being so young they didn't know how I would handle the schedule or how I would do under the authority of the evil curfew Nazis (Under age Councillors). But after a few ego clashes things setteld and the Councillors layed off. Being the youngest one was pretty hard. Every one else was over 22 and It was just really hard to fit in. But after the first master Class people started to be much nicer and relationships started to develop. The Master Class was really awesome. The Master was non other then Gaétan Laperrière. One of Canadas Greatest Talents. He originated the role of Picariello, one of the leads. This is a lyric baritone Whos voice is like "molton Gold". Theres one scene in the Opera where he's campaigning for Italian votes. I was so moved. It was just awesome! I got alot out of his Class. A normal day in Banff: 7am, breakfast 8-9, private warm up 9:05-10:30, Movment 10:45-12:30, Workshops on Musical Styles/acting/or Master Classes 12:30-2:00, lunch and free time 2:00-5:00, Afternoon Staging or musical run throughs 5:00-7:00, Dinner and free time 7:00-11:00, Staging or musical run throughs 11:00..... Chillaxation time ... spent drinking or hottubin lol It was alot of work and alot of fun. A real taste of yhe life of an opera singer. The really kewl thing about this program is that it was tottaly Free! all we needed to do was get there and every thing else was taken care of. This experience has opened many doors for myeself and many other young performers. Through the events of my foour week stay in Banff Iv become good friends with many people who are in one word AWESOME! lol :P The High point of my whole stay was meeting a young baritone named Vince. He's an awesome guy. It was talking to him that hooked me up with his mother. At dinner one night we were talking about famous sopranos and Madama Butterfly and he was like "ya my moms sung Butterfly alot!" and I was like who's your mom and he shyly said "you wouldnt know her" and I said "come on tell" and the words that came out of his mouth left me shell shocked.... "Maria Pellegrini". Canada's Callas! I was so taken back it wasnt even funny... I was just like "you.. mom... her..." lol after the program was done and we had all left for home I got a call from some Italian women and she askd All kinds a things about me and my life and then said " my son said you are a great singer" i was tottaly like "Who are you ???"...... and once again came those words "Maria Pellegrini". :O <<< That was me for about ten minutes untill she said "how would you like to come to Ottawa and Sing for me". My first word was "YES!" lol so two days later I flew to Ottawa. It was the greatest week of my life. Every day I had a two hour lession and every day I would ask her every question I could think of. The coolest thing was when she left me at home and askd me to answear the phone. I talkd to James Levine artistic, director of the Met:O lol and Kiri Takanawa. I took a message from both lol. It was awesome! I love her! The greatest moments of are time together were when she would talk about Maria Callas. She tought me sho much and because of her Im a convert to Callas lol :P Well thats my rant for today stay tooned for more.... Bella(o) Ciao! (Comment on this)
